Megg is passionate dancer of ATS® and Tribal Fusion, as well as a martial artist. She draws great inspiration from her French & Irish heritage, story-telling, and enchanting mythology of all sorts.
Megg specializes in improvisational dance with an emphasis on stage presence and contrasting intricate layers and phrasing. She began her dance journey in 2010 in Pine River Mn under the guidance of certified ATS® Instructor Gaia Sohia for 2 years, and danced in parades, at events and festivals in the troupe Isis Moon. She has also taken ATS® instruction under Certified Instructor Noelle Bastian and currently danced in Vespertine Tribal for 4 years, as an ATS® / Fusion / Fire dancer based out of Franklin Arts Center in Brainerd Mn.
Megg has a strong connection to her scimitar and enjoys the challenge of mixing belly dance style sword dance with martial arts weapon handling. She also enjoys the grace and fluidity of dancing with her feather fan and skirts.
Some of her favorite instructors to get the pleasure of learning from are Amy Danielson, Lesley Inman, Violet Kind, Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Ashley Lopez, Belladonna, Amy Sigil, Irina Akulenko, Sandi Ball, Anita Lalwani, Wendy Allen, Carolena Nericcio, and Megha Gavin.
Megg now teaches Tribal fusion dance in Baxter/Brainerd, Little Falls and Randall Mn. Teaching is her passion, and she offers a variety of classes, group lessons, shimmy parties and workshops.
